Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary
The Lab Lead collects and prepares specimens and performs laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Verifies, records and reports lab results in an accurate and timely manner on all performed tests. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies and laboratory procedures, including maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment, instruments and work area. In addition to MLT/MT responsibilities will serve as a lead technologist for the Chemistry . Will also have primary responsibility for instrument operation, maintenance, quality control and compliance with all regulatory standards pertaining to Chemistry.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree required [Bachelor preferred]; NCCLS accredited or equivalent program
License/Certification: ASCP, AAB, AMT or equivalent
Experience: At least one year of working in a complex hospital lab

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
